Entrepreneur by heart...Have started projects in 4 countries.
Laura was elected as the Cartier women initiative awards European laureate in 2008, was elected as of one 100 women leaders and one of 100 young entrepreneurs, in Chile. She has actively participated in entrepreneurship and women related causes across Europe.
Deeply involved in women causes, she has coached women entrepreneurs across continents to help them achieve their dreams.
She is also a board member of Women Investing in Women LLC.
"I started this project when I moved to USA and was starting my new and current company. Having suffered the loneliness of starting a business by myself in London and having encountered the challenges women face in the path to entrepreneurship, I decided I didn't want to make the same mistake again and this time I decided to co-thrive among other powerful women entrepreneurs...Woman, Startup! was born...

MITA MAYORAZ

An Atmospheric Scientist and academic by profession, Mita got interested in Entrepreneurship when she found herself in a business school in Switzerland studying Innovation and Entrepreneurship. She was very active in the Swiss Entrepreneurial community and continues to be so here in the USA with a focus on social entrepreneurship and how technology can benefit humanity. Mita started a couple of her own ventures including a mobile technology company to solve the text input challenge and develop solutions for mobile information delivery. She is presently working on a mobile platform for analytics and recommendation of educational apps for children.
Why Woman, Startup? "I found a kindred spirit in Laura with the challenges we face in the Startup World and decided to join Laura in helping realize our dreams as Women Entrepreneurs! 'Give a little help .. get a little help' is the mantra we live by at Woman, Startup!!"

Ambika is an entrepreneur, techno-geek, editor and a seasoned product manager. She drove key products as a software product manager at 3 startups in the wireless and smartgrid networking. She is driven, passionate and excited about the potential of new media and community involvement.
She founded KidSenz, an engaging news website for kids, when she saw that most news stories and TV channels were not suitable for kids in terms of both their content and presentation style.

If you have a question about any academic subject, algebra to writing, you will find people willing to help. "Take ten to teach ten" is her pay it forward motto. She would love for everyone to give ten minutes of their time helping ten learners She is on leave from her daytime job, Associate Dean for Science at Emory University, Atlanta. The commute from Atlanta to Palo Alto was - a little extreme!
She believes in the transformative power of community and is passionate about education, women and entrepreneurship. It all comes together in Woman, Startup!

Roopali Rajvanshy co-founded Rcoz in 2011. The mission of Rcoz is to promote recycling and basic hygiene through education and community involvement. She is a seasoned Silicon Valley marketing professional and has worked with technology leaders like VMware, Cisco , IBM along with other start-ups and non-profits. Roopali has been active in community service and giving back for many years. She was the chairperson for TiECon’s (World's largest conference for entrepreneurs) Women Forum in 2011 & 2012.
At Woman, Startup she is involved with increasing the awareness and visibility of like-minded women entrepreneurs through events and sharing of resources. The mission of diversity and inclusion is very close to her heart.
